Jewels of the Desert Horse Rescue & Sanctuary is funded completely by donations from our generous horse loving community.  We rely on volunteers to help care for our horses by feeding, mucking, grooming, and helping them to overcome their past traumas through love and patience.  If you are interested in joining our team as a donor or volunteer, please click on our "donate" and "volunteer" tabs. 

We appreciate each and every one of our donors and volunteers and want to thank you all for the support you provide this organization and the care you give our beloved horses.  Jewels of the Desert Horse Rescue & Sanctuary is also a private residence.  We are not able to accommodate individuals or families showing up to meet the horses without appointments or those who have not signed up to volunteer.  Our volunteers are scheduled for specific times and days of the week.  If you are interested in adopting a horse, donating, or volunteering, please contact us to schedule an appointment prior to visiting the Rescue & Sanctuary.  Otherwise, please be respectful of the property owners and residents who live on site so that you do not disturb them or the horses.
